An HDTV receiver tuner, which is also commonly referred to as an HDTV tuner or HDTV decoder, is something that you may need if you want to start watching your favorite television programs in high definition. Each HDTV on the market today offers a host of features, but it is the differences in these features from one TV to another that you are going to need to be aware to make sure that you choose the right one. You definitely want to pay attention to the comb filter feature, and this is an internal circuit in the TV that separates out the brightness and color information in an NTSC signal before that information gets displayed on your screen.

You want to look for an HDTV that has a 3D or even better a digital comb filter as this will ensure that the picture is as bright and clear as possible.

The front panel inputs are also important to take into consideration here and if you have a camcorder or video game system that you are always having to move around the house, these will be useful to have on your TV.
